About us
“Impersonal agencies don’t really care. Their whole architecture depends on homogenized treatment - and that’s even worse now with statistical averages.”
We built Moonlit because we believed something different was possible. Not a factory. Not a vendor. A group of people who genuinely care about the work – who dive deep into the content, leverage their love for gaming and storytelling, and bring that energy to every project.
After collaborating on the localization of the highly-acclaimed Hades II across eleven languages, our team realized we share a common work ethic, level of linguistic expertise and love for video game localization that naturally led to working on more projects together.
Clients who choose us enjoy not just an array of services, but a group of people who genuinely appreciate each other – who know their strengths and play to them, improving quality at every step of the way.
What drives us
How we work
01
Genuine passion
We are enthusiasts first. As gamers, tech lovers and language nerds, we bring real investment to every project – not just professional detachment.
02
Cultural depth
Translation is the easy part. We go further – forging emotional presence in target cultures that demonstrates deep respect for the audience and their history.
03
Technical expertise
We understand pipelines, tools and formats as well as we understand language. Equally comfortable in a CAT tool and a style guide discussion.
04
True collaboration
We coordinate smoothly across project management, technical questions and context – integrating with your team or becoming one ourselves.
05
Senior quality
Every member of the Moonlit team is a seasoned professional. You get expert hands on your content, always – no outsourcing to junior translators.
06
Greater than the sum
Individually talented. Together, exceptional. Our shared ethos and complementary strengths produce results none of us could achieve alone.

Georgios Tziakos
Founder & Senior Localization Consultant
With 25+ years in the localization industry, Georgios has led language and consulting work on some of the world’s most acclaimed gaming and software projects. He is a specialist in gaming, technical and marketing texts, and user-facing content where tone, voice and cultural nuance drive engagement, retention and conversion.
His full pipeline expertise – from pre-production copy preparation to linguistic QA – means he understands every stage of the localization process and how to make each one work better. He has overseen complex multilingual releases across more than a dozen languages, building the workflows, glossaries and team structures that make them possible.
Georgios founded Moonlit after years of watching large impersonal agencies deliver homogenized, statistically average work. He believed a small team of exceptional people, genuinely invested in the content, could do something fundamentally different.
